Lime Syndicate Management (Lime) is a managing agent at Lloyd’s.  Lime respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website (regardless of where you visit it from) and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Purpose of this privacy notice

This privacy notice aims to give you information on how Lime collects and processes your personal data through your use of this website, including any data you may provide through this website when you request further information through the ‘Contact Lime’ page.

This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

It is important that you read this privacy notice together with any other privacy notice or fair processing notice we may provide you on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing your personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. Data Controller

Lime will be the data controller of your personal data if you are an employee, prospective employee, insurer, intermediary, customer, supplier, contractor, counterparty or other third party. Lime includes the following entities: Lime Syndicate Management Limited and Lime Syndicate Services Limited.  Lime also processes personal data for and on behalf the Lloyd’s syndicates which it manages.  Lime is referred to collectively as “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice.

We have appointed a senior manager with responsibility for overseeing enquiries in relation to this privacy notice. If you have any questions about this privacy notice, including any requests to exercise your legal rights, please contact us using the details set out below.

THE DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where an individual’s identity has been removed (referred to as anonymised data).

We collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity data includes first name, maiden name, last name or similar identifier
  • Contact data includes email address and telephone numbers.
  • Technical data includes browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
  • Profile data includes ‘Get in touch’ information.
  • Usage data includes information about how you use our website.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you through our website (this would include details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences through our website.

No fee is usually required to make a request

You will not normally have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in such circumstances, where this is considered justifiable.

Time limit to respond

We aim to respond fully to all legitimate requests within 30 days. Occasionally, it may take us longer if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of constituent requests. In this case, we will notify you of our intention to extend this period within the first 30 days and keep you updated throughout the process.
